When working on our 2008 product line, the idea of giving Keith Lyman a new board was an obvious one… When it came to designing a board that would hold up to the demands of Keith’s riding, things weren’t so easy. No other rider had worked as hard through the 2006/2007 season to prove to the world that he was back and ready to take wakeboarding to the next level. No rider on the planet goes bigger and is more demanding on a board’s performance level than Keith Lyman. Watch him spin a 540, 20 feet into the flats and you’ll know what we mean. Back in spring 2006, Aaron reed put some pressure on the design department to create a wakeskate shape that works for himself, as well as all of his friends. With his midseason release in 2006, a board was created to meet his demands. Liquid Force built a board that popped and tracked good enough for Aaron to land his backside big-spins wake to wake, as well as 3 shuvs. For fall 2007, the shape has remained consistent, but new sizes have been added. Now Danny Hampson, Phillip Basino, Aaron Reed, and the rest of the team will have 3 sizes to pick when they want to skate.
